
Obadiah Plante, Ph.D.

Obadiah Plante Ph.D. is an internationally recognized leader in biotech, vaccines and infectious disease research. He is President at P5 Innovations and recently served as SVP and Head of Research at Kinvard Bio. Previously, he led vaccine and immunotherapy research in infectious disease at Moderna where he developed industry-leading approaches in mRNA medicines and multiple clinical programs. Prior to Moderna, Dr. Plante led research at Visterra where his teams created innovative antibody and antibody-drug conjugate approaches to treat bacterial infections. Early in his career, Dr. Plante founded and led research at Ancora and Amydis where he developed novel approaches to conjugate vaccines and diagnostics for neurodegenerative diseases, respectively. He advises multiple foundations, biotechs and investors while serving as a consultant at the Leducq Foundation, an advisory board for the WHO AMR working group, an advisor to the New Zealand RNA Center, and as a board of directors member with GlycoNet. He holds several patents and has published widely on mRNA vaccines, antibody-drug conjugates, synthetic chemistry, antimicrobials and novel vaccine technologies.
